HAM

Hotter Project and Speakerphone Productions present HAM, the winner of the 2026 Sit-Up Award.

Created and performed by Mary Higgins and Ell Potter, HAM is a darkly comic ecological reimagining of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It explores meat, veganism, shame and the climate crisis, using comedy to invite audiences to consider the consequences of what we eat.

HAM was directed by Ursula Martinez and produced by Zoe Novello and Sophie Visscher-Lubinizki for Speakerphone Productions, in association with Soho Theatre.

The production was presented at Summerhall Arts during the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
